HARRISON YOUNG

Harrison Young is an accomplished jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist from New York City, currently living in The Hague, Netherlands. He has toured the world extensively both with his own projects as well as several internationally known artists, having played shows all over the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe, Scandinavia, and Russia.

Harrison studied Vocal Performance at Berklee College of Music and Jazz Vocal Performance at William Paterson University. In 2010, Harrison made his professional jazz debut at the Detroit International Jazz Festival as the featured vocalist of the William Paterson Jazz Septet, featuring the late great pianist Mulgrew Miller.

​

Harrison released his first jazz album in 2012, entitled “Live In Shea 101” before embarking on an extensive tour of the U.S. with his group, The Harrison Young Quartet.

​

In 2016, Harrison embarked on his first solo jazz tour of Russia during which he performed a headlining set at the Everjazz International Jazz Festival in Yekaterinburg and performed with the esteemed ‘Academic Band’ at Lenin Memorial Philharmonic Hall in Ulyanovsk.

​

Harrison will release a brand new jazz album early next year and will return to Russia in April 2017 for a more extensive tour.
